Background History

 

Green Education Foundation was established by 10 member social philanthropists on 6th June 2013.

 

Vision / Mission

 

Enable every child living in rural areas of Myanmar to attend school, achieve a high level of education, develop the ability to improve their own lives, and to become human resources of our future country..

Main activities

 

Green Education Foundation provides the following activities for children living in rural areas:

• Donate education funds for the children in poverty who cannot attend school

• Donate school buildings

• Provide the necessary facilities to develop monastic schools

• Distribute teaching aids (support materials) to basic primary schools

• Open good morality training centres

• Establish village small libraries by donating books

 

Detailed activities

 

• New extension building (30’x26’ - total cost 18,600,000 kyats) for hospital in Khanpa’ Township, Tamu district, Sagaing Division

• Generators for the electricity in Na’minkja’ village monastic school, Mawgyun township, Ayeyarwady Division

• New primary school for Sawlon village in Bawlakhae township, Kayah State

• New primary school for Maesienan village, Kayah State

• New high school for Hpahsaun Township, Kayah State

• New high school for Maese township, Kayah State

• New high school no. 2 for Laikaw township, Kayah State

• New primary school for Zolawhti village, Kayah State

• Provide teaching materials and stationary - 600 dozen exercise books, 400 dozen pencils and ball pens for 24 primary schools in Yamethin township and Pyawbwe township in Mandalay division.

• Donation for new school extension in Phyipyar village, Yeminthin Township

• Ahphyuyaungthitsar library building for Hsegyi village, Yamethin Township

• Book donation for libraries in Yamethin Township

• Provide education funds for grade 10 student from Myitta Blind Training Center

• Provide education funds for grade 8 student from Pyinpyar village, Yamethin Township

• Provide funds for school buildings in Hseigyi and Kantharaye villages, Yamethin Township
